I am a registered patent attorney and am admitted to practice in the State of Ohio. I have focused my practice on intellectual property law for over six years and work with clients to develop strategic intellectual property portfolios. My practice includes drafting and prosecuting both domestic and foreign patent and trademark applications, conducting patentability analyses and patent and trademark searches, and performing clearance opinions. I work with clients that span the entrepreneurial spectrum, including start-ups and large corporations.
I am actively involved in many organizations that contribute to the development of the entrepreneurial spirit that is currently growing at a rapid pace in our region, including the Warehouse District in downtown Toledo where our office is located. In addition, I have been a member of the Board of Directors at the Toledo School for the Arts for the past two years and consider this school to be one of the greatest assets of downtown Toledo.
I am married to my best friend and have a Chihuahua named Harley. I love being a dad to my one-year-old daughter and understand that striking a balance between career and life at home is a necessity. I am a jeans and sports coat kind of guy and enjoy personal relationships over materialistic objects. My favorite quote is “the more you learn, the less you know.” I love football (Go Rockets, Go Lions, Go Wolverines). My favorite destination is Denver Colorado, where my sister lives. If you have never been there, I highly recommend it. I am a Mac – converted by my boss. My hobbies are astronomy and playing guitar. My favorite guitar player is Stevie Ray Vaughan.
